Interaction Learning Video

What kind of interaction would the video require from your students? Does it force them to respond in some way (inherent)?

This video is a video on how to draw a birthday cake. This video actually requires students to follow along with the steps in the video to draw a birthday cake. Students can follow along with this video step by step to draw a complete birthday cake, and the entire video explains what to look for in the process. I don’t think it forces them to react in a certain way. Students can follow the video and draw the cake together, but it doesn’t have to look exactly like the video, they can add their own creations.

In what way are they likely to respond to the video on their own, e.g. make notes, do an activity, think about the topic (learner-generated)?

I think the students will respond to the video by watching it. For example, they can draw a cake together with the video, or they can make some notes, for example, in some places that are more particularly noticeable, and of course, they can think about what a birthday cake can be other than this image.

What activity could you suggest that they do, after they have watched the video (designed)? What type of knowledge or skill would that activity help develop? What medium or technology would students use to do the activity?

After they watch the video, I will suggest them to follow the video and draw a cake together. They can also draw a cake without watching the video, which will help them think about the whole structure of the drawing. Secondly, I would like them to draw some other food, such as cupcakes, or spherical cakes, or different cake styles. After they finish this activity, it will actually help them to draw something on their own, or develop some inspiration for their drawing. They can use drawing paper or sketches for drawing to complete these activities, but I think the best way is to use drawing paper to draw a birthday cake, or other styles of cake.

How would students get feedback on the activity that you set? What medium or technology would they and/or you use for getting and giving feedback on their activity?

After the students submit the drawing assignment, I will evaluate their drawings based on the content they have drawn. For example, I will give feedback on the finish of the lines or the choice of colors. Secondly, I will use a PDF to draw the areas that I think need to be changed directly onto their work, and write a table like the one below to evaluate and grade each part of their work.
